Red Fox
This is red fox in the tundra before it hibrates. Red foxes are solitary mammals that feed on plants and animals. Their average life span in the wild is from 2 to 4 years. They will eat fruit, vegetables, fish, frogs, rabbits, rodents, birds, and worms. A fox's bushy tail helps it's balance, makes a warm cover in the cold, and they also use it to signal other foxes.

Gray wolf
Gray wolves can survive in many biomes as long as food is plentiful and the climate is relatively cold. The Siberian taiga, one of the habitats they are best suited to, is a boreal forest with long, cold winters and short summers. It covers part of Northern Russia, the place where wolves are most plentiful. All wolf packs defend there territory, which can vary in size.The gray wolf is the biggest canine in the wild. They are about 3 feet tall at their shoulder, and are about 3-5 feet from there nose to the tip of the tail. They weigh from 40-180 pounds. Male wolves are bigger than females.Their life span is about 17 years. They have a top speed of almost 40 miles per hour. Gray wolves are carnivores that eat moose,caribou,and other deer-like animals.

Snowshoe Rabbit
The snow shoe rabbit lives in the forest areas where the ground is covered with undergrowth in the higher parts of North America.
It migrates throughout the mid west united states as well.
It is larger than other rabbits and it weighs around 3-4 pounds
as an adult and can be 15-20 inches. It has large rear feet and the toes can spread to act like snowshoes. Their feet also have fur on the bottom, which protects them from the cold and gives them traction in the snow. In the summer, its fur is rusty,grayish brown but it turns pure white in the winter, except for its eyelids and the tips of their ears. This helps it to hide from predators. They have 3-4 litters a year with one to eight in each litter.The snowshoe rabbit is a herbivore that eats grass,clover and other greens.They also eat twigs, buds, and bark in winter.

Mountain Lion
The mountain lion lives in the western United States, Mexico, Canada and Central and South America. Mountain lions are sometimes called cougars, pumas, catamounts, panthers, ghost cats, screamers, and painters. Adult mountain lions stand about 2.0-2.7 feet tall at their shoulders. They are from 6-9 feet in length from the tip of its nose to the tip of its tail. Their weight is usually 80-160 pounds. Mountains are nocturnal, live from 8-20 years in the wild and about 20 in captivity, and are solitary. They eat big horn sheep, rabbits, squirrels, deer, and elk.
